For Russia it's important that there were distance wins. Vadim Sayutin: "It's important to win distances. It's long ago since we had the glory days of Russian allround. It won't be like in the Sovjet days, and people don't understand allround any more. But we hope this creates more interest and skating increases in popularity in Russia."
