Ireen Wust 40 minutes after 1500

Wüst (40 minutes after race):

Big disappointment. In the training it seemed to be back. In the 3000 I could make speed more easily and I as looking forward to today, the old Ireen.

I was too much in hurry today, so my technique was lost again. I fought, but it didn't compensate my lack of technique. I had faith this morning that it would go well. The 1500m was my distance, I thought, but tomorrow I have a chance to show that I can skate better.

Physically I'm okay. It's a technical puzzle. I think it is almost solved, I put a lot of time in it, and that it doesn't show today is sad. In the end, it's all about January, February and March. 

I feel things better, and think I will grow better through it. I thought that maybe in the 3000 I went a bit too deep, so that I'm not fully recuperated and my legs don't want so fast today.
