Wieteke Cramer won the Ladies' big combination in Calgary, with a total of 162.304 points. Afterwards she said:

"I'm happy. This was a nice finish of the season. Tomorrow I go home with Els Murris, and then next week we go on holidays with four more girls, all skaters."
"The 1500 was really good, I was happy with the personal best. The 3000m was also good. On the 5000, the first laps I didn't find the right rhythm. The 500 also was no pb, but I had come back from Salt Lake on Monday and this was just an introduction to the ice here."

"Els didn't skate the last distane, because she was finished, didn't have anything to give anymore. She didn't have a good start this season, and then a few weeks ago she fell in Groningen, and got a kind of whiplash or concussion, and that has been affecting her. When her 1500m didn't go well, she didn't see any point in skating a 3000, her least favourite distance."
