Renate Groenewold: I remember of the last lap mainly the last 50m. I tried to give some at the crossing, but she came past me. Mixed feelings.

It's great to set a Dutch record, but one always wants to win. I don't feel in top shape. It's a fast rink. It gives a good feeling that the first laps come easy, skating technically.

I wasn't placed for the 1500m, so I go home tomorrow to prepare for the second half of the seaon. It's good for me after two weeks on altitude and this drought to go to the sun and recover. Its good for me, I won't go to Moscow. I'll be back in Heerenveen."

She will go to Cyprus with Wüst, van Deutekom, Kramer and Olde Heuvel. Verheijen and family go to the Canari Islands.
