Cinquanta introduces mass start |

In a press conference in Heerenveen, ISU President Mr Ottavio Cinquanta revealed that the ISU wants to offer possibilities for mass start races. He was not talking about marathon, but of races that could be about 14 km long.
When Jan Dijkema added that the technical council had decided to add a mass start event to the programme of the Junior World CHampionships in Innsbruck, in two weeks, Mr. Cinquanta was not amused. "I did not know this", he said. "The council can never decide on adding something to the championships". |
